Some boost controllers hook up differently than others. What model boost controller are you looking at getting or do you already have? I know my HKS EBC installs differently than manual boost controllers (MBCs). If you want a quick place to see where vacuum lines, you can check out the stock setup here: www.stealth316.com/2-vacuumhoses.htm or on the undeside of your hood. There's one already there. It might be more than you're willing to do, but a vacuum reduction mod is really a benefit for the simple fact of making everythign easier to get to. You can buy a pre-cut, pre-made kit from Jack in Minnesota (Mitsubishi Specialities). People that have installed his vacuum reduction kit seem to rave about it. I have a pressure tester device (home built) that I have loaned out on several occasions to club members. All you need is an air compressor. if you have one, I could loan you mine as long as I get it back within a few days once you get it. Let me know. Jesse

Jack (or M-spec, or MitsubishiSpecialties) has diagrams for pretty much all the vacuum lines, reductions, and the popular Boost controllers. You could PM him. Buy some matching silicone lines from him at the same time, and dress up your engine bay while your running new stuff. Either that or just about any nipple coming off the plenum will work. The nipple of the back of the Y-pipe doesn't show negative pressure, though. Don't ask me how I know that. Pressure tester? 3SX aluminum plate. nice. or make one out of PVC tubing. Your chioce really. need an air compressor. http://www.3sxperformance.com/tools.asp <-- 3sx website, plate half way down. Or stop by me in Green Bay some night and we'll throw a plate in and see what hisses. (maybe you can find some one a little closer though. )

They're just in different spots. The most "convient" spot would probably be the vac line comming out of the rear of the plenum (which goes to the FPR sollinoid). It's all by itself back there so finding it shouldn't be hard at all. If memory serves, it has blue dashes on it. I'm not too far away from you if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Thats way to far away, I couldnt make you drive that far, just as long as you tell me exactly how to do it, I can do it, sometimes I think I work better alone anyways, I feel more creative alone, for custom work anyways.

After driving to both Green Bay and Milwaukee 2-3 times in the last 2 weeks, a trip to your place is a breeze. What's your e-mail? I'll send you a picture of the vac diagram with marks to show you where you can tap your gauge. What year is your car?
