SJ wrote: Anything we can do Greg? If you know anyone who can press the axle out of the hub assembly and press out/in wheel bearings, and do all of this before the cruise, I can make it. Oh yeh, and can do it for free/delayed payment. Otherwise, I'm going to toy some more with the TT just in hope to get it running "good enough" for the cruise. Just won't be reving above 4 grand...

getting the axle outta the hub wasn't difficult on mine any time I've done it. When the bearings went I just spent the $50 on a new hub.

The bearing is pressed into the hub. It's not like an AWD, where you can simply unbold the bearing assembly, and bolt on the new one. No no no, they had to do it the hard way with the FWDs... Also, this car has seen every salty winter since it was made in late 93. Even heating it with an oxy torch didn't loosen it enough to pound out. My only option at this point is to remove the whole assembly (with the axle attached) and take it some where to get pressed out. OR buy a whole new one (which is what I'm trying to do).

The W3SI sluts (Sam and I) will be trying to hitch a ride with someone(s) tomorrow.
Adam, don't forget to bring the batteries!

Hakuna Matatta -- we'll figure out seating arrangments for all when we all get there. I'll be coming right from the two football games at CMHS tomorrow, so if I'm a few minutes late, don't leave without me. Looking forward to seeing you all then. Best, SJ

as for lunch, got me. It's 2:45 am and I'm going to sleep for like 10 hours. The "after party" was going to be at the bar that we end up near. Anyone who'd like is welcome to come back to my place (hot tub, pool table, garage + tools) after the bar if they're still "thirsty".

Well I hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed the route. I drove it four or five times prior and each time traffic was light and it was sunny and warm. If the only the rain had held out. The only thing that unfortunately didn't disappoint was the number of officers on the road... I counted 16 cars and lost track of the number of people. Nice to meet you new guys Pete (and Andy), and the two other guys who I've already forgotten their names (I'm lucky to find my way home sometimes ) the guy in the white 2g that we met at the Pick N Save and the gentlemen that waited for us at Finn's. Please introduce yourselves and welcome! Nick -- pop the hood next time will ya? Mitch -- were'd you go at the end? Lawrence -- glad you could make it! Mike -- hope you were happy with the giveaways, sorry for the mix up. From all of us here at W3SI, we hope it was an enjoyable afternoon despite -- and again we'd like to thank our friends and sponsors at 3SX Performance and Waukesha Motors for all the fantastic giveaways! Our next and final event of the season is the Speedseekers HPDE at Road America. We have information on this event already up on the events page. If you've never been there, it's truly a blast and riders are allowed if your over 18 and have a helmet. Check it out, and we hope to see you there as well! Best, SJ & A-man

It was really fun glad i could make it this year. All of my friends said it was an awsome ride, even the guy in the prelude that got the ticket. They all asked if you wouldn't mind if they could tag along again next year. Lotta fun and will definitely be there again next year.
