Adam, is he going to write the cnc programs up manually or is he going to model them up 3d and use that for his tool paths? I can model up about anything you guys need and send your cousin the files. Probably save him a good deal of time writing it all in manually. I've got connections for stainless steel sheet metal in various thickness and sizes, let me know if you guys need anything and I'll see what I can do. I'll help out with stuff if/when I have time.

I believe that he enters them in manually. I know in at nwtc he learned some sort of modeling program, but I'm not sure what it was. (autocad, cadkey, solidworks, etc) he does have five axis training also. If the block off plates are what I'm thinking of (diamond shaped blake face flanges with two bolt holes on either side) It won't take long at all to knock those out, and once the program is saved you can pound about 20~30 of them out in an hour. If you guys want these get me dimensions, shape, and material. We can have them in the next week or two. Like I also said, he can also put "G-ell" or "Stealth" or "VR-4" or "I heart turbos" in the plate pretty easily.

Good news. It's all back together and she's running. Have to pretty-up some of the things in the engine bay (I have some blue vacuum lines in the their temporarily and other such uglies), but that wasn't the concern for the evening. Big thanks to Jeff for taking care of all the major install work...
Need some serious tuning though. Fuel pressure is down around 23psi or so, and should be around 39psi at idle. Whenever we adjusted fuel pressure up, the car died. I need to make adjustments to the arc-2 but we just ran out of time and energy to bother. Only spent about 5 minutes attempting to tune it so far. On the plus side - no leaks. No detectable problems...
Tuning is the next hurdle. 720s with arc2 and IPO afpr (dual feed lines). The fun begins.

1st ground the pump without starting the motor and get your fuel pressure setup. I'd suggest running a little lower than stock FP. You have way more injector than you need. Lean out the low on the ARC a few clicks then try and start the car.

Good idea Greg. I'll ground that wire so the pump continually runs and set my pressure for around 30-35psi (slightly lower pressure from stock should be okay with my 720s... in fact, it should help keep my IDC's more towards where they should be so I don't get such advanced timing from the larger injectors). Once I have the pressure set properly, I'll just start screwing with the arc-2 till the beast runs. Hopefully my timing is somewhat close enough to get a decent idle so I can use my timing light properly. I'll probably give you a hollar if I can't get 'er going so you can lend a hand this weekend maybe if necessary...

Weird things.
Setting the fuel pressure above 25psi with my IPO afpr (dual feed lines) or so and I can't get the car to even start regardless of the arc2 settings.
So, I did a pressure test for giggles. Found leaks in the following areas: (2) differnt IC pipes, Y pipe (where it meets the throttle body), and the afpr vacuum line. After fixing those, I found a pretty major leak coming from the lower intake. By forcing air through the motor and playing with cyl 3 injector, I could change the sound of the air leak so I knew it was leaking. If it's leaking, I figured I'd check all the injectors. So I pulled everything apart and found cyl 2 and 3 to have cracked covers on the injector tip. Now, whether they were cracked originally, during install, or during removal, damned if I know. I didn't notice any cracks when I installed them, but, them again I don't think I really checked much. So, time for new injectors.
Hopefully that will help with the idle problem and pressure leaks... Won't know till I get some new ones.
On a side note. This doesn't make ANY sense. Before removing the injectors I wanted to minimize the fuel pressure in the lines so gas doesnt seem everywhere so I disconnected the fuel pump connector in the trunk and intended to crank it over until I saw 0psi for fp on my gauge. Weirdest thing. When I cranked it over, it started up fine and ran for shit, 10 seconds with NO fuel pressure and NO fuel pump running. I shut it off because I was in such shock I didn't know wtf was going on. Still don't. How it ran (and I'm not saying stuttering, it fucking ran) without ANY fuel I have zero idea.... Maybe my brain is just tired and I imagined it.
That's all for now. Time for new injectors.

I know what it is. Your car just didn't want to be torn down into a hundred pieces again so it started and ran good so you'd think everything was fine and wouldn't need to tear it apart again. It just wants to be driven. As per our conversation over the phone, I'm really wondering if it is possible vacume from the motor was getting into the fuel system and drawing fuel in that way. Jeff are you reading this? What do you think?
