I mounted my sbc-id on my steering column and can see almost everything except 20 mph on the speedo and high beam light.
I think I might mount an led on the pod for the highs.

just like always, anytime anyone asks my opinion on gauges, I tell them the same thing, I love my DEFI gauges, the control unit rocks.

I wouldn't recommend putting a gauge that you will rely on as heavily as a boost gauge in the ashtray, i'd keep it more in front of you. The ashtray is a bad place for a gauge generally, I have my secondary EGT in there, and it's a good gauge to have there, Francis from Minnesota has his Apex'i fuel pressure gauge there, the less dependent gauges can be placed out of the way like that, but a boost gauge MUST be on the pillar or steering column, somewhere close.

What color is the lighting on the Stealths? If it's green, I *highly* reccomend Defi gauges. The are sharp looking, have playback, peak hold, warning, and interface with Defi's new Heads Up Display unit. For other colors, you *might* be able to take them apart and change the bulbs or leds. Best of all you can pick between SI measurement (KG/cm2/C) or US (PSI/F). There aren't really any other electronic gauges out there in US measurements. Defi also has their D-Gauge series (which are lighted in a red/amber color) that might look nice for those with red lighting. The boost gauges for the D-gauge series is mechanical however and the gauges do not feature peak-hold/warning/playback. But they are sharp looking. Both gauge series are available in Black or White faces and most of the defi-link gauges are available in 52mm or 60mm. The D Gauges are 52mm only. I have the defi-link gauges on my Supra (along with the heads-up display) and I am going to get a set of the D-gauges for my Grand Prix GTP. Wes Defi-link boost gauge Defi-link boost gauge lighted (SI version) D Gauge D Gauge lighted For more information... http://www.defi-shop.comYou can get the gauges at these online shops... http://www.edoperformance.comhttp://www.horsepowerfreaks.com
