Every minute, 0.005% of college students in the U.S. will begin to openly weep, often publically about the condition of their car.
Yes that is right, I am a statistic.
I live next to a wonderful (a dive) bar here in Appleton, whose patrons just love to park in our parking lot, ruthlessly throw their doors open, back their cars into, and generally smash or scrape my car. The result is a poor college student in need of a little body work and a paint job, with a quote for $3,000 to do the formerly mentioned work. Now, I fully understand that a paint job takes days of work to prep (my uncle used to paint cars in his younger days), but -- this is way out of my price range.
So, if anyone happens to have a connection, or "has a buddy of a friend who knows someone" etc. that will do a paint job for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Perhaps even someone on these boards does work like this on the side.
I'm not looking for a Maaco's job, nor show quality paint. Just something so I'm not driving around a friggin heap! I am willing to be reasonable with price, $3,000 is just a bit beyond my current budget is all.

Hey my buddy paints cars all the time he's currently painting mine but after that he could do yours what all do you need as far as body work? If its not to bad i'm sure he could do it for around $850-$900 which as you probably know is a good price.

That's an amazing price! However, since there's one dent on my rear quarter panel, I expect to pay a little more than that. I am not an unreasonable person. Otherwise, there's a couple little dings here and there that are very very minor. It's the scrapes and my blasted front bumper (thank the drunk in the black Jeep for that one) that I'm aching to get rid of.
I need to get a new front bumper as well, but otherwise, if I could get his contact number, that'd be great, thank you in advance, this means a lot to me.

Thanks much, I truly appreciate it.
I'll be purchasing lots of parts soon to refurb my car, so that will be on my list. Look forward to hearing from you.
