I picked up some bulbs to replace a few burnt out lights, and after the switch I still have no underhood light or trunk light. Am I missing a switch or something? I think I read somewhere that the parking lights had to be on for the engine light to illuminate, but that didn't make a difference.
I have a hard time believing that something could go wrong with these lights. Thoughts?

Yep, the parking lights must be on in order for the light to work.
Down by the drivers headlight, there should be a small white post sticking up. Check and see if it's hooked up (there's only 1 wire on the underside), and if it still goes in and out effortlessly. I've seen a couple cars where they stick and don't pop up.

Thanks for the tips, but the switch appears to be hooked up and moves all the way up without a problem. Any other thoughts? Is there a switch like that for the trunk light? Obviously this isn't a critical problem, but I want my stuff to work. The car's got less than 50k on it ... things like interior lights should work.

I think the switch for the light in the trunk is tied in with the latch somehow. Never thought to look for it.

have the same problem... never really bothered me... I try not to work on my car at some random side street, and I have a trouble light in the garage... I would like it to work though. I'm going to check that little switch tonight.

Do your interior lights still come on when you pop the hatch?
