Dispite the rain, club house owners changing their minds about letting us use the grill, cable tv going out, and our leader not showing up, the Madison gathering turned out really well.
8 cars showed up at my place about mid-afternoon dispite the on/off rain all day. We all hung out, talked cars, discussed various ideas (like the effects of running smaller wheels in the 1/4 mile), and the official W3SI master chef (Aaron) kept us feed with chicken, burgers, beer brats, and steaks.
Afterwards, the rain paused, and we used the opportunity to take some pics around my neighborhood. We were joined by a few excited home owners who also wanted to snap a few pics.
The races were rained out, so instead we went to Pooly's, a local sports club, and enjoyed a few drinks, shot some pool, and played a few intense air hockey games. ...and snapped a few pics of a couple hotties selling lays...
We finished the evening with a late night snack at Denny's off East Washington. We watched a few cruisers who were still out, and tried to figure out the mystery behind "the pink cigarette" a woman had in the smoking room.
I'd just like to publicly thank Aaron once again for all his help with keeping this event going. Thanks for keeping our buns toasted!
Hope to see you all next year! If anyone has pictures, please e-mail them to Jesse to host on the server or post them here.

Time for a hangin' I think he is convinced that W3SI can never be as good as MN 3/S, so he has given up. LOL. Jesse has only posted one message on the board in the last 13 days. Someone needs to have an intervention with him. Pics look great. Sounds like you guys made the best of it. later, Curt

We all have our own issues to work out from time to time. Sounds like he just needs a little time to himself right now to figure things out. This isn't something anyone should hold against him (not directed towards you Curt). Not everyone's in the mood to come out and play all the time.

Once again, I had a good time with the guys that showed up. Some even unexpected which was nice to see. Look forward to more picture snapping, tire-size talk and various other deep thoughts.... LOL.

So, as I buzzed out a little early to head back to Milwaukee I got pulled over by the heat for doing 38 in a 25 zone. (second time I got pulled over in two days) The nice lady let me off with a written warning. I should have stayed a little while longer, had a beer, talked about putting 12 inch tires on my car for the quarter mile, and left late so the heat would have been in bed. The real dumb thing is I remember seeing the squad car sitting there when I was headed to the gathering.
P.S. You guys eat all those chips?

lessons? hmmm, I think I'll take you up on that offer. I wouldn't mind meeting up for a few games of pool sometime.
I took about 50 pics, I'll try to get some of them posted tonight.

I'm glad to hear that you guys had a good time at the Madison Gathering. Thanks to everbody that came, I hope this turnout will make it possible for anotherone in the future. I feel bad that I couldn't make my home gathering. But, family is family. Next year will be different. Hey Verfer, the Y-pipe is still holding under good boost. Thanks! Jesse and SJ let me know about those seats, I'd still love to help if you need it. Aaron did you get your tranny figured out?
