Only problem with SPC is be ready for your TOB to make noise. I think ever car with an SPC clutch at the UMG this year was making TOB noise, but if it holds the power, who cares. Don't know if SPEC of any of the other brands are different. And is the bet about your car being there or being there with TT/AWD, because if it's TT/AWD I'll take that bet, 1 beer.

The bet is that my car will be FWD TT. But also that it will make it to the UMG without any problems. Also, I can't make any major repairs to the car while at the UMG.
I've heard bad things about SPEC clutches. I don't know what kind of clutch to get yet.

I've heard bad things about SPEC clutches. I don't know what kind of clutch to get yet. My spec stage 2 held up til the umg and back home. Had about 18k miles on it. I didn't expect to get that much miles on it since I do a lot of lapping days and auto x with my car. Then the tendency to do a few digs in high rpm for fun. lol.

From what I've heard other than the TOB noise SBC clutches are great. And I wouldn't let the noise discourage you from what I've heard is a good clutch.
Also I will take that bet, FWD TT, vs a Beer for the next UMG

Also I will take that bet, FWD TT, vs a Beer for the next UMG SBC makes good clutches. I've used the OFE Stage 3 in two different cars and was very impressed. The pedal pressure and engagement is like stock but with an increase in torque capacity. The pedal pressure of the first OFE kit I ordered was extremely soft, softer than stock but still held up after 10k of abuse.
