Just looking for some comparisons if anyone wants to share. If I'm getting ripped, I'd like to know.
AAA Insurance "Pleasure Vehicle" $150 - $500 deductible Premium: $276.80 / 6 mos.
It's the only vehicle on my policy since my DD is a company car. $50 per month just seemed high for a car being driven about 5 times a month. My driving record is fairly clean; 1 speeding ticket about a year ago, another moving violation about 3 years ago.

My Jeep DD liability only is 164.50/6 months.
Each stealth full coverage is between 150-160.
American Family Insurance. I get a home discount that may be helping.

I'm on a plan with my family with 5 cars total. I pay $92/month for full coverage on my VR4 with a $500 deductible. We're with American Family. I'm 22 and have a squeaky clean driving record, but I actually was getting that rate when I was still 21 too.

I'm paying $22/month for liability only on a '92 VR4. This is through Acuity Insurance.

You guys are lucky fucken bastards!
I pay $1900 / 6 months
For my '96 3k and my '96 accord ex 4 door
driving record: 21 over - 6 points reduced to 4 18 over - 6 points reduced to 3 17 over - 6 points reduced to 2 Reckless driving on city streets - 2 points and that double since I'm on probationary license still... lol. Reckless driving on city streets(again, doing burnout) 3 points, reduced to 2.
Been suspended 3 times, all 6 months suspension. Right now I have 2 points left on my driving record, got my license back May of '08. lol. I must stay clean with no tickets/points for the next full year, or else I won't be able to drive for 18 months.
Insurance was $2300 the last 6 months
I've been clean for almost a year, so it dropped down to $1900
Not to mention... This is only for reliability!!! I don't even want to think of getting full coverage, I know AAA wanted $4980.21 / 6months for both of my cars... lol. Geico wanted $5389.61. And Yes, those are the exact numbers!

One thing I dearly miss from WI is the cheap cost of insurance...
Full coverage for the EVO is $1150 every 6 months (and that's a good deal around here).

I realized that the ~$275 amount didn't count the ~$65 I had already paid, so I guess my full premium is more like $340 for six months. $2 per day to insure a car I barely drive ... just seems wrong. Doesn't look like it's out of line, though. *sigh*

I have AAA insurance. My Stealth is $190 for six months for full coverage "pleasure use." My Spyder is about $220 for the same thing. But I drive like a grandma and have a clean record.
later, Curt

I also use AAA. Best rates I could find a few years ago, and they paid a claim with no questions asked.
Clean record and great credit will lower your payment significantly.
