Here's the deal. I'm looking for a SA2000 helmet and have been scoping out the GF950. Unfortunately, the best price I seem to find is about $239 at most places, and $269 at others in the size I need (medium). Racerwhole.com has them at $189 (wow), but they only have them in Small or X-Small. I *might* be able to fit into a small, but I'm not 100% sure, according to the sizing charts, I'm on the lowest side of Medium.
Anyone know where I can find a GF950 in Medium size at a decent price? Needs to be in stock considering I need it by mid April. Online ordering is fine.
I'd consider comparable models too but I'm looking for full-face and SA2000. Thx.

Jesse-- Did you check Pegasus Racing Supplies in New Berlin? They would probably have that for you in no time if they dont have it in stock already. Also, they are fairly reasonable with their prices.

Wouldn't you want to test it to see how it feels?
When I bought my newer motorcycle helmet last year I must have spent an hour at the Torque Center trying on different models.
I was looking for the most visibility, most noise reduction, and best fit.

The plan is to find someplace local to check out the helmets for fit, etc. and then, if I can find them cheaper online - buy it there.
So far, the only places I've been able to find localling that carry full face SA2000 helmets are Pegasus Autoracing in New Berlin and KartsLTD in Cedurburg.
G-Force and Pryotech are the only things in my price range basically. Helmts arene't cheap, unless you go with open-face M2000.

You need one for the track right? The last time at GLD and i didnt have mine on for the first run....I thought the fat guy in the time booth was going to get out, drag me out of my car, and beat me with a chubby arm. I can't believe you've been to GLD those few times without a helmet. I got mine off a board member for $100 bucks. I think its only a m95 though, but I've had it since I had my slow stealth, siince I needed it for autocross. If you are going to use it just for the drag strip, just buy the cheapest piece of shit that you can fit your pinhead into. If you are going to use it for road racing, you might as well spend the bucks because you need it to be comfortable and you never know whats going to happen out on a road coarse.

It's for road racing.... otherwise I wouldn't car.
I rented a helmet at GLD the times I've gone. Got tired of them yelling at me for not having one...

Well mine is a bell helmet and I really like it, even with my fat head. I guess pegasus would be the best bet. Not sure where else you can go.....just dont buy one too small, because it really sucks ripping your ears off everytime you take the helmet on and off. What are you up to this weekend....maybe we can do some car shit and I'll bring it along to show ya.

I picked up a helmet the other day. SA2000 full face Simpson brand. Got it at Pegasus Autoracing in New Berlin.
It's tight.. Very. I know what you mean about your ears, hehe. But, fact of the matter is, you want a helmet that is as tight as possible so it doesnt move at ALL on your head when you're strapped in. If it's loose, there's no way it'll do the job necessary when you crash.
Not sure what I'm doing this weekend... it's either yardwork, going down to Indy for a 3S gathering with JeremyG and a few others, or hanging around the house. hehe.
I'm off Friday so I'll decide then I guess.

LOL.
I might skip Indy now. Got invited to my friend's house Saturday night so I'll probably go to that instead. She's having a few girlfriends over so I'll watch them have a pillow fight if I'm lucky, HAHA. Beer, pizza, pillow fight watching.... doesn't get any better than that.
