First of all, i heard that since i have the twin turbo vr4, i'll need 2 blow off valves. Is this true because several people have said this to me. Also, i want to ask which is better...HKS or Greddy? Finally, will this have any negative effects on my car?? Any help is greatly appreciated! THanks!!

one blow off valve. placed between the intercooler and the throttle body. It just lets the extra pressure out that the turbos are trying to press in out without having to stop or reverse the momentum of the turbo.
It is not some magical peice of equipment that will get you an extra 40 horsepower. infact, it will not make your car faster at all. You can get a crushed DSM BOV for very little money that will be far more than most people will ever need. The only reason to replace the stock one is pretty much because it leaks.
I ran the greddy type-S for a while. you will need the adaptor flange to get it to hook back into the stock Y-pipe. It will also hit on the shift linkage without being somehow pulled out of the way on the 6-speed (second gens.) transmissions.
I don't know the HKS, but if it is an open to atmosphere blow off valve it will cause you to run rich just after shifts unless you correct for it. (fuel management piggy back, or whatever.)
The Tial BOV will also require some sort of adaptor and probably a hose and is only open atmosphere.
who ever told you that you need one blow off valve for each turbo... never take car advice from them ever again.
