Already using -an fittings, I just reused the section that presses onto the FP. If it is leaking I'm going to pull that piece off and just clamp it.

Wrap that bitch with tephlon tape, put it on the fuel pump, and press it on until the bottom of the tube touches the top of the FP.

what does this monstrosity look like? I thought we were dealing with a stock fuel pump assembly.

If you are going to rip up the fuel pump assembly why would you re-use the tube? how the f*ck did you connect it to the -an fittings?

It should go rubber fuel line hose clamped to top of fuel pump, up to at barbed hose to an fitting.

From there it should go to a 90 degree bulk head fitting.

and from there find some way to connect back onto the fuel line running to the front of the car.

That eleminates all mitsu design flaws. (except for the rest of the car.)

Yes, brake fluid. it will keep the o-ring lubricated and not pinched. Why the fudge sticks would you want teflon tape stringies hanging off into your fuel tank when you could just put the o-ring in the right way in the first place.

yeah, two notes.

1) Just get some rubber fuel grade hose and go from the barbed fitting to the nipple on the fuel pump. hose clamp top and bottom. that will eliminate those leak points.

2) It's typically not "cosher" to hose clamp the outside of those braided fuel lines. they have special ends that you are suppose to use that are a huge pain in the a$$ to make work right. If it works for you, good, but I'd be checking it for leaks often, and watch for track officals that are less than enthused about it.

You know me, I'm not one to follow the rules and what not, but on high pressure fuel lines, I typically follow manufacturers' directions. And seeing as you like to track it, and they are a tad more strict about some things, I figured better you find out from me, than from the tech inspector that won't let you on the track.
