I have no tint because I hate to be hassled for stupid reasons.
This is also why I have a very quiet exhaust until I get on it, and went to a small amount of trouble to keep the exhaust tips tuck in and under the car.
I get enough attention for having a red sports car, and don't need to give the police a reason to become nasty to me.
Also, a good attitude, and a sir sandwich usually helps also. take of your sun glasses, keep your hands on the steering wheel where they can see them, and don't make any sudden gun grabbing movements.
I will agree with you, though. some police have serious attitudes. I have one neighbor who is a luetenant (sp?) and he is really nice. He will go out of his way to help people. I have another neighbor that is pretty much a Nazi in a different uniform. He gave me a parking ticket for leaving my car on the street over night in the middle of summer. (I live on a dead end street.) He also has a history of giving other cops tickets.
Also, to add to the irony, I have drug dealers that live down the street the other way...
It takes all kinds.
If you run into this cop often, and it's not a big deal/price to remove, I'd pull it off, as you say it's not really that noticable anyway.
Or lobby/run for local gov. and change the rule.
