Anyone coming to our 2005 Rural Cruise know how to do this? Does it take long? If not, could we meet up a few minutes early and do it in the parking lot?
I'd like to try it during our event and see how the car performs.
Thanks,
SJ

Do you have extra vac lines?
I can do the "quick" method which leaves the hardline in place and the charcole canaster & EGR valve fully functional.
Will take maybe an hour.

Will take maybe an hour. I have some rubber lines, and leftover Hose Techniques. EGR valve of no issue, have the AAM block off plates. An hour? Maybe I should wait for another day then, I was under the impression that this was an easy quick mod, I don't want to screw up the day before the cruise. SJ

NO VACUUM REDUCTION FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To do a "real" vacuum reduction you need a 4" grinder. I'll have to post a pic of my engine bay...

It could be, but I'm neat and fussy. I don't do well with the grab and yank approach. Mostly cut and tug. (I'm talking about vacume lines you perverts)

Like I said, I don't want to screw up the day, so maybe another time? Thanks, SJ

Xwire did comment that my original vacuum reduction was pretty clean...
Other than the TT throttle body with two nipples capped. He did say that the NA throttle body works on the TTs, and wanted me to switch, but I did not.

Hey, that was my idea! j/k I didn't think I was the 1st guy to think of doing that. What did he say about the dash pot? I know you can "get away without it", but it does serve a function.
