Looking for a 1st gen BOV valve for my 95 VR4. I installed an open air filter and now am getting a "hooting" noise like an owl and was told that it was the plastic 2nd gen BOV valve that was the problem and the cheapest way to fix it would be to get an older 1st gen valve that was made of metal. This is supposed to stop the "hooting" sound. Anyone have one? I guess that I would also need an adapter flange to mount it to the hose as the old valves are different and have a flat flange at the bottom not a hose outlet? Any help to where I can get this stuff would be appreciated!

www.dejontool.com They sell the BOV + adaptor flange you need. Browse the DSM classifieds at www.dsmtrader.comUnfortunately, the BOV will interfear with the 6-speed counter weight on the shift forks. You will need a relocation kit sold from Rob Beck. Click hear. He also sell adaptor flanges.

G-Ell So what you are saying is that EVERY year from day one of the 3000gt/Stealths, 1G and 2G have the same PLASTIC BOV's, and what I actually need to get rid of the hooting sound is a 1G metal BOV that comes from a 1G DSM Turbo Talon or Eclipse? Please let me know if I have that right now. I guess I never realized that the 3000's are not considered DSM. I just figured a 1G is a 1G no matter if it was a 3000 or Eclipse. You learn something every day!

Oh boy, we really need to edumacate you. DSMs are only the Talon. Eclipes, and Laser. People consider the Galant VR4 a DSM too. 3/S's are not DSMs. www.vfaq.com
