ok guy i prolly have the worst luck in the world.... just bought a 93 vr-4 drove it 50 miles and oppps guess what....spun bearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  so anybody got a spare 4 bolt block? ill take some pics of it when i get done towing it back from illinois....

have you tried on 3si.org? they usually have whatever you want for the most part, all you have to do is search and search and search. then it will usually be right there

Just starting my part out finally....been busy with some remodel projects. Do you want just the shortblock or the entire motor minus the turbos.

Yeah I still have the block. The motor is still in the car and the car is still in running condition - havent pulled any parts off yet.
Do you want just the block or do you want block and heads? The heads were rebuilt at the same time the new block was put in.

well how much for the whole thing minus turbos and how much just for the block? its christmas time so alittle tight on money but i really could use this thing...lol i already miss my car i hate seeing it just sitting there like it always seems to be doing....

The whole thing minus turbos would be $1600
Just the block $1200
I'll also throw in my crank vents free of charge.
Mind you I paid $2500 for just the block. I added the new timing belt, oil pan, pickup tube, oil pump. Also has powercoated valve covers and plenum and the heads have 99 lifters. I would recommend putting a fresh set of bearings on the main though. As long as the motor is out, now would be the time to do it. Eventhough the motor is nearly new, its always a good idea to replace the mains since they take a beating on the initial motor break in...even though I probably changed the oil 10+ times in the first 10k miles.

ok ill prolly just take the whole setup as it prolly will be alot easier for the 2 of us..ill let you know as soon as i got enought together prolly after christmas tho...ill try getting a loan to get it so if that works it will be sooner..
