My post from 3si: Looking for a lower mileage tranny and transfer case. preferrably lower than 100k. I will consider all offers. 18 spline would be fine, but i wouldnt mind a 25, but would definitely need the transfer case along with it. Obviously the transmission has to be in good condition, shift in to all gears nicely. And lastly would prefer local pickup. Bordering states at the most. Unless we can work a good deal on shipping. Let me know what you have, i will probably make a decision in the next couple of weeks. thanks
it would be great to find anyone around here for local pickup. let me know! thanks.

Or you can pick up a really slick reman from the Mitsu dealership for a paltry $4600. I can attest that it shifts like brand new after that.

It's amazing, I don't even shift it, I just press the gas and it does everything else while making me a cup of coffee. 3krazygt wrote: i would hope so after $4600. ha. In fact it'd better shift better than perfect.

Really though, JDM or rebuild I think is about it unless you get lucky from a member. Although I've never used them I was always impressed talking to www.mantrans.com. They only do manuals and they are more than interested in providing transmissions for our platform with various reasonable warranty options. Seemed like the price was about 2k for a rebuild but I haven't talked to them in like a year. Or take your chances with a used JDM with the classic "40 to 60k miles". I have personally blown through 5 jdm transmissions and will never buy another one again.
