Hey all, I haven't done much looking around at buying/selling. My 92 SL Auto shows a private party value in fair condition being worth 3600. Is that realistic or is that totally out there. Depending on what the mechanics say next week, the next stop is a kick in the exhaust and try to get whatever I can out of it. Let me know in your respective experiences what something like this will go for or make me an offer I can't refuse. Thanks.
122,000 miles
solid rebuilt top engine, heads, etc. Rebuilt heads were 900 for the set.
timing done when the heads were installed with all the extras, water pump, pulleys, ??? whatever else is part of that loop was most likely replaced.
engine runs and sounds great.
brand new, mint mint black leather interior.
1 dent in body panel, not too bad.
New brakes/calipres, good tires with chrome wheels and winter set wheels/tires
JDM tranny that shifts ok, all gears working, verdicts still out, only been in for a couple days.
Grinding noise when starting unknown why, look at car discussion forum.
I paid 3000+ having the engine/tranny/timing redone by certified mechanics a year ago and only drove it about 4000 miles after. I have all of the receipts.
Paying child support I just can't afford to throw money at these cars like I used too. Assuming that the price to fix is over my head, which is most likely, I'll be selling it for whatever I can get for it to walk away from it.
Pic1 with the dent. Also it doesn't have that red interior anymore.
http://www.untangible.com/gallery/main. ... ewsIndex=1pic2 the chrome wheels on the red car in pic are now on the white car
http://www.untangible.com/gallery/main. ... ewsIndex=1I'll also be selling my 2002 Avalanche with a beautiful 4,000 set of 20" chrome wheels as I can no longer afford the payments while paying my baby-momma a small forture for a single child (no, I'm not bitter). I'm fixing the 4wd on the avalanche right now then I'll list it seperate up here.
