So my dad got back from vacation and took a look at my car. He says I need a clutch fork. Hopefully this will be it, but we kind of guess and check. My car is a 91' SOHC stealth if that makes a difference. I need the part ASAP because this is my only driver car. Thanks,
Turkey

Turkey I hate to break it to ya, but a clutch fork very rarely needs replacing, unless it's seen a good amount of abuse. They can bend but won't cause you to lose pedal pressure. The symptom you described in your other post would suggest a failure within the clutch hydraulic system - a leak at the line, slave cylinder, or master cylinder. Start with bleeding at the slave cylinder like the others mentioned. I would really hate to see you do all the work to drop the tranny when the attention was needed elsewhere.

My dad showed me the part. It is the clutch fork that is broken. The cylinder was also pulled apart. When I pushed the clutch down it went close to the bottom and gave way, this makes since seeing as how the clutch fork snapped then. He said it had been holding on for awhile and finally decided to give way. I am certain this is the part I need. He also said he doesn't think he'll have to drop the tranny to replace it. Which I know is a real bitch from when we replaced it.
Once again, I need this part fast. So if anyone has one or knows where I can get one reasonably, please pipe in.

I also need a throw-out bearing along with it.

I posted on 3si as well. People have some but won't tell me what will work in my car.

If you can confirm that my 92TT tranny has the same fork.. we can arrange that you pick it up @ my work in GB. (Assuming it is easy to remove. I believe it is... I have the tranny off of the car. It looks like it slides right out.) I also have an old throw-out bearing off of that tranny. No guarantees on its functionality. I know it didn't make noise when it was in my car.
Let me know.

Definately, I'm sure we can arrange something. My dad and I can come take a look... When are you free?
Anyone know if there is a difference between 5 & 6 speed trannys or the sohc, dohc, tt setup difference. Are the forks and TOB's different in any way? On 3sx there are all seperate so I'm guessing they are in some way different. Which I'm my case is just a pain in the ass...

You need to drop the tranny to replace the fork & bearing.
If you can confirm that the awd tranny fork is the same as a fwd one, I work monday-friday 9-5. Or I can leave it outside at work for you to pick up whenever.

So, the SOHC and DOHC fork and TOB should be the same. Although, I don't think 5 and 6 speed tranny's use the same one. Guess I'll need to do a side by side compairson or do some more research.

Ordered the TOB from Rock Auto, now im gunna match up a vr4 fork and see if their the same. Unless I can get a guarantee, I guess I'll have to order from 3sx so I can get this done soon.

Well we met up today to match up the forks. Turns out, mine was large and manly while his was quite tiny and feminine. lol..
Sorry I couldn't help out!
To those in doubt: he definitely broke his shift fork.

Yea, too bad. Thanks for the trouble though. Yea, this car has seen its share of owners and abuse... The thing snapped clear in half. I've replaced to many parts on this car to count. Don't plan on having it for too much longer myself. Time to move on. But I will definately own another 3/S in my life time.
100$ in OEM parts ordered from 3SX and Rock Auto and no car til next week, ugh!
*For the record, TT and SOHC fork, NOT THE SAME!
