MFBA April 2010 Road America Event
As many of you know the 2009 Road America Events have actually put the MFBA in the Red. We are however going to try to make another run for having an April event on April 17-18, 2010!!
There is a stipulation though to this 2010 April Event.
We need 80 cars for each day registered for Sat and Sun before January 15, 2010!! If we do not meet this then the event will be cancelled and Checks will be refunded and Paypal refunded (paypal would be a full refund of money as it will be within 60days of payment if the event is cancelled due to not having enough preregistered cars).
Cost: October 2009 - January 14th 2010 = Weekend: $425.00 Single day: $235.00
January 15th 2010 - March 31st 2010 = Weekend: $475.00 Single day: $265.00
April 1st 2010 - Event date = Weekend $495.00 Single day: $285.00
roadamerica.fbody.us
Thank You Very Much For Your Support of This Event!!

As of right now, RA has extended the deadline until the middle of February.
They still need about 54 to meet the 80 cars.

Great news -- even though they are still short with numbers, the event has been confirmed. And, even though I will not be able to run, weather permitting, I was planning on heading up one day for the second morning session, catching lunch, and staying at least for the first afternoon session. May drag the kid with me -- we're having withdrawals. This may just kill me -- I cannot recall being at the track and not running in maybe 10 years? See you at the track.

They still need about 54 to meet the 80 cars. Can we still register for the event? I might be able to get 2-3 other people with me to attend. But chances are slim if we still have snow by then.

Yes, you can still register for the event. January 15th 2010 - March 31st 2010 = Weekend: $475.00 Single day: $265.00
April 1st 2010 - Event date = Weekend $495.00 Single day: $285.00
roadamerica.fbody.usGet as many as you can, we don't want to loose this event. I just talked with George and confirmed we are good to go.

It sounds as if a group of us may get together and caravan up for this event, weather permitting. Prefer Saturday, rain date Sunday.
I know that besides Jesse and Oskar, Jack is coming up as well, probably with his GTR.
Anyone else interested?

A couple guys I work with are going. I might go with depending on some circumstances. Hopefully I can make it and see you all up there.

Ok folks, looks like the weather is going to be awesome -- I sure wish I was running.
Our plan now is to head up Saturday morning to get there in time to see Jesse's first run of the day.
Is anyone else interested? Methinks ETD of 8a.

I wish I had money and the car to do this. I have a feeling my car would get heatsoaked like a bitch. I just ran at a small track and it was fun as shit.

Thanks for everyone who came out. It was great to see everyone and we had a great turnout with many cars running. For those of you who missed it, you need to plan to come out next time. Here's the list: Jack and his amazing GTR (with his normal posse of Scott, Aaron and Paul) Jesse and the Maroon Marauder -- 165mph on the main straight?! The crew from Beyond Redline, and Jesse's brother Jeff (with the Bananamobile), Dad and Mom Bridgette and Dan from the Chicagoland Chapter (both ran) Oskar from MN (nice brakes dood!) The Mad Russian and his 911 Jon from IA Johnny H and Roadkill Moi and the boy I'm sure I'm missing someone, please speak up and be known. The paddock was packed and they had so many running, they asked folks to change classes to balance it all out. A GTR in Group D? Our Mad Photographer as busy all the around track, so pictures will be forthcoming ASAP. Looking forward to seeing you all at Hooter's NEXT SATURDAY. Awesome day.

Looks like a great time. I only went the first year we did this even and unfortunately my car was in the paint shop so I didn't get a chance to run. Is that Jesse's yellow stealth? Looks like I got something else to critique.

Thanks, please tell the kid next time you see him -- he's been taking all the pictures up there forever and I think has turned into quite a good photographer. Both Jessica and that track photographer (Edmunds?) have each given him pointers and agree he's got talent.
